| MARC Home > Government Innovations Forum > Projects > Building Regulations Survey 2004
MARC, the Home Builders Association (HBA) and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) have sponsored a development and building practices survey of local jurisdictions. This database of survey responses allows viewers to access information on building regulations by counties and municipalities in the Kansas City metropolitan area. It is provided as a service to supply builders, developers, remodeling contractors and local governments with current information on local government building regulations and practices. In order to give viewers the most complete picture of fees in a city or county, the information is grouped into the following categories:
Register To ensure the security of the information, a city or county must be registered before they can enter data. If your municipality or county would like to enter information into the database and you are not yet registered, click on the Register button. This will take you to a brief form which you can submit online, and MARC will assign you a user name and password. View the database To view building regulations information in the database, click on View Database. You can select the city or county for which you would like information and the categories you are interested in. If a city or county does not appear on the list of jurisdictions it means they have not submitted information for that category. Update your information The information contained in the database is only useful if local governments enter data on a consistent and timely basis. MARC encourages local governments to keep their building regulations information up to date and to use the database regularly. If your municipality already has been assigned a username and password and you want to update your information or add new information, click on Submit/Edit Information.
