Strengthen disaster recovery capabilities for vulnerable populations | ||||
If your organization provides services to people living in povery, children, senior citizens or individuals with any type of disability, please register to attend the “2016 Community Service Provider Emergency Preparedness Summit - Being Personally and Organizationally Prepared" on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Emergency managers, responders and disaster assistance organizations are also encouraged to participate as subject-matter experts and to network with providers. The goal of the summit is to identify steps that organizations, their employees and clients can take to become better prepared for disaster. Objectives include:
Participants will take away resources to help them become better prepared and a task list they can use to incorporate emergency preparedness into their organization's work plan. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. and is free to attend. Lunch will be provided. |
