e-ICS/EMResource Training Sessions
 
  Comprehensive training for all users: e-ICS/EMResource  
 

Summary
These training opportunities will highlight the fundamental aspects of the e-ICS system and assist the end user in understanding and using the software program.

e-ICS
The presenting team will review the newly built e-ICS Regional Healthcare Coalition Coordination platform established in 2016. Training activities include:

  • How to log into this platform.
  • How to post messages and add event log entries to maintain regional ESF 8 response situational awareness.
  • How Public Health, EMS and other ESF 8 disciplines could intergrate to establish a unified ESF 8 picture of the Region and improve coordination/Communication.
  • Use of the file library and future capabilities of this platform.
  • The presenting team will highlight an alternative method of using e-ICS for incidents with limited hospital facility staff to document and capture incidents at the facility level for Hospital, which will include starting and ending an incident.
  • Building your ICS chart assignments in the system.
  • Adding contacts on the fly to support your Hospital Incident Command Center.
  • Running After Action Reports for documenting incidents.
  • Use of the e-ICS phone app.

Participants need to be able to log into their work email as part of this training. There will be computers available in the Computer lab, however if yout facility will not allow you to access your email remotely it is encouraged that you bring a facility issued device this will allow this.

Audience
Primary audience is Hospitals and Public Health. Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Management, or Emergency Coordination Center Staff that utilize intermedix (eICS and Emresources) for regional coordination would benefit greatly from attendance as this class will outline the ESF 8 Regional Healthcare Coordination Center use of e-ICS.
