April 2022KCRPC REGIONAL HIGHLIGHTSRegional Survey - KCRPC issued a survey in February to gage the level of interest for regional contract opportunities for services and commodities. The results reflect significant interest in several categories, and these are currently under consideration for future regional contracts. The categories included custodial service, waste disposal service, snow removal, grounds maintenance, micro-mobility operations, on-call legal services, testing services (fire hose, ladders, and pumps), building safety (intrusion/breach detection, fire detection/suppression, vehicle barrier control, and security gate control with monitoring services.) DATABASE HIGHLIGHTSThe free, public contract database powered by CoProcure continues to provide more features to help our local governments. Earlier this year, CoProcure launched simplified diversity filters to help procurement teams aiming to work with small and diverse businesses available on cooperative contracts. Over 10,000 of the more than 40,000 suppliers available through cooperative contracts on CoProcure's database have one or more diversity credentials. Now, you can more quickly identify these businesses in your cooperative contract search experience using filters. CoProcure has also published this guide for suppliers to help procurement professionals save time educating the supplier community about cooperative procurement. KCRPC has added this guide to our page for vendors; please consider sharing the guide with your suppliers and encouraging them to claim their business profiles and share their cooperative contracts with public entities.
