2020 Vision: Through the Lens of Equity
Wednesday, May 20 | 2-3 p.m. in the
Westview Room
To ensure equitable transportation outcomes, we must prioritize the needs of those that are most disadvantaged. But how can we incorporate qualitative outcomes like equity? This webinar will present an equity analysis designed for data-driven decision making by evaluating other key performance measures through the lens of equity. This webinar will open explaining why active transportation is important to equity outcomes. Next, it will question how we currently conduct equity analyses and outline the limitations. It will then introduce a modified approach that addresses these limitations and uses equity to evaluate performance measures like accessibility. Finally, the webinar will provide examples of this analysis method in cities with ongoing analyses such as Dallas, TX and Lowell, MA.
Presenters: Stefanie Brodie, Toole Design Group
Continuing Education:
APBP has applied to the AICP for 1.0 Certification Maintenance credits and will provide an attendance certificate. |
