G8.2 Project description: Six diesel powered trucks will be replaced with dedicated CNG powered trucks.
The diesel powered trucks being replaced will be 10 years old or older which consume an average of 300 gallons per month of diesel fuel.
The project includes a (min) 60 diesel gallon equivalent tank package for each truck that will ensure no additional fueling intervals or related trips.

Transportation Disadvantaged Population: The projects proposed will be used in furtherance of the services The City of Kansas City, MO. provides for its residents, many of whom are disadvantaged financially or by age and health issues. This ongoing process of replacing diesel powered equipment with cleaner fuels is part of Kansas Citys master plan to continually take steps to improve the welfare of our residents; in this case by reducing the health risks associated with higher polluting fuels.
