Climate Action Plan Workshop

Out of an abundance of caution and to follow the CDC's guidelines for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are postponing the Climate Action Plan Workshop scheduled for March 31, 2020. Stay tuned for more details on remote options and a new date.

MARC and Climate Action KC invite you to help
develop a unified plan to advance climate resilience
in our region.

Participants will learn about regional climate risks, vulnerabilities and greenhouse gas emissions. Using this information, table discussions will focus on prioritizing actions across several areas including transportation, energy, buildings, water, food, waste, land use and natural systems; in ways that support our region's sustainability, social equity and public health.

This will be the first of two community workshops to develop a regional Climate Action Plan. Whether you’re a stakeholder, an expert, or an interested resident, we encourage you to join us and help guide this plan's direction. Students are highly encouraged to attend. This event is free and open to the public.

Stay informed!

Interested community members will find many other opportunities to engage in this process during the coming months. Stay informed about the plan development and other opportunities to get involved by signing up to receive the Climate Action Newsletter.
